Twas the Night before Christmas Poem

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

With the incoming democratic leaders such as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Hoyer all of America should be waking up from their midterm nap and realizing that they are awfully close to having their taxes raised, and social security benefits given away to illegal citizens.

The 2006 midterm elections certainly were a bump in the road for freedom. Let's hear it for REAL conservative values and policies that will God willing lead up to victory in 08! Here is to us retaining the WH and taking back congress! Now more than ever we need CR's out on campus fighting the left! Just look at a picture of Nancy Pelosi and imagine how that leftist and her San Franscico leftist whackos are going to be running the country if we dont stop them!

Santa Barbara

The YAF conference in Santa Barbara is coming up this weekend. There will be an update after the event to inform everyone of all the fun stuff that happened. So Much For Liberal Intelligence

A LIBERAL was down on her luck. In order to raise some money, she decided to kidnap a kid and hold him for ransom.

She went to the playground, grabbed a kid, took him behind a tree, and told him, "I`ve kidnapped you."

She then wrote a note saying, "I`ve kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and put it under the pecan tree next to the slide on the north side of the playground. Signed, Liberal"

The Liberal then taped the note to the kid`s shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents.

The next morning the Liberal checked, and sure enough, a paper bag was sitting beneath the pecan tree.

The Liberal opened the bag and found the $10,000 with a note that said, "How could you do this to a fellow Liberal?"

Illegal Immigration= Deportation

So this past week we saw huge protests all over the country in favor of pro-illegal immigration. Yes, that's right people actually took to the streets showing their support for individuals that break our laws and enter the country illegally. Once again liberals all across the country have illustrated their stupidty by showing support for such an absurd issue.

If you are illegal and in this country, you need to leave. You need to leave and re-enter legally. In all honesty I rather you not re-enter at all. You need to respect the laws of this country which have made it so great for so long. 12 million illegals ends up to one huge security threat in a post 9/11 United States. These estimated illegals are draining our social services and becoming a hinderance to our education system.

During one of the rallies I saw a sign which read, "Being human is not illegal." That may be but then again being in my country illegally holding a stupid sign such as that one is.

UO College Republicans Winter Term a Success!

As winter term draws to a close the UO College Republicans have reason to celebrate. UOCR's did a great job these past few months advancing the conservative cause on campus. CR's kicked off the term with a bang holding a pro-life event on campus exposing the genocide that sadly continues to take place on a daily basis in our country.

CR's also played a big role with the Lane County Republican helping to put on their annual Lincoln Day Memorial Dinner with special guest Fred Barnes of Fox News. In Feb. CR's celebrated Ronald Reagan's birthday on campus and spread the true Reagan message to those on campus who unfortunately because of the bias liberal profs have never heard anything other than socialist propaganda. CR's sent close to 25 students to the annual Dorchester conference in Seaside, Oregon where they let the rest of the state know the future of the ORP lies with its conservative roots!

Next term plans to be the best with events such as the celebration of the fall of Saddam and Pro-life lobbying trips to Salem. Also CR's are planning to bring a big name conservative speaker to expose the left for what it is: anti-American.

Dorchester Wrap Up

Dorchester was awsome. The debates were kinda lame, most of the issues resulted in landside results, the only one that didn't get landside results was the one for wiretapping. The partys were great of course. The first dance party was fun, the second one was okay but there were to many old folks there. The free food was good.

Dorchester Conference

The Dorchester Conference is coming up this weekend it is going to be a great event. Registration starts at 4PM on Friday, and the events comes to a conclusion of Sunday. Its in Seaside, OR on the coast so its going to be nice. There will be a gubernatorial debate between the three Republican candidates. We will also be debating issues for the party and where the party should be headed. And to finish it off there will be booths from other candidates, plus everyone's favorite thing, FREE STUFF.

Now, I haven't been to this event yet, I hear there are other things going on, including alcohol consumption, it will be a fun weekend.

UO College Republicans start new year fresh with vision for taking back their campus from the liberals. UOCR's have a full term ahead of them with conferences ranging from the CPAC conference in DC to the Dorchester conference in Seaside, Or. College Republicans will be in full force recognizing the basic right to life during the week of the aniversary of Roe v. Wade. College Republicans will take to the streets participating in various pro-life events both on and off campus.

College Republicans look forward to yet another year of George W. Bush leading this great country into the future. A future committed to fighting the war on terror both domestically and abroad. God Bless all our armed service men and women fighting for our freedoms every single day.

Santa Barbara Trip HUGE Success

The UO College Republicans recently returned from an amazing weekend conference in Santa Barbara, CA. Over 570 fellow conservative college students gathered in Southern California this past weekend to celebrate conservative ideas and values. What better place to gather than in Santa Barbara, CA in the shadow of the Reagan Ranch which sits a top the Santa Ynez Mt. Range.

I am proud to say that the U of Oregon CR's had the most members there from any other chapter in the state. Go Ducks! Speakers at the conference included: Dinesh D'Souza, Dick Wirthlin, Steven Hayward, Paul Gourley from the CRNC and Lt. Col. Scott Rutter. All speakers did an amazing job of spreading the conservative message from their each and very own individual viewpoint and perspective.

The UO College Republicans are already planning for next year to once again take the Santa Barbara beaches by storm in order to learn how to be better leaders and activists back here on the Oregon campus!

College Republicans Preparing for 2nd Amendment Day

This Saturday the UOCR's will be packing, literally all the way to the Emerald Empire Shooting Range in order to take part in their freedom to fire weapons. New comers as well as experts are all welcome. Chuck Hawk will be there giving safety class to beginners, while the rest of us will waste no time shooting many a fine machine.

Hope to see all College Republicans there, CR's will be meeting at the office in the EMU at 10:45 and leaving for Walmart in order to purchase ammo at 11am. Then it is off to the range.

College Republicans attacked by Bias Comic

College Republicans have shown in these past weeks that they are not affraid to write in and show support for when they are attacked in the press. A comic displayed in the Oregon Daily Emerald about a week ago depicted College Republicans as alcoholic, stressed out mis-guided crazies.

Since this commentary was in the paper all but one since then has sided with the College Republicans for being over the line and not appropriate. I am glad to see that there is more common sense on this campus than we may have thought in the past.

College Republican BBQ

The first College Republican BBQ of the year went off without a hitch this weekend. Total attendance ranged from 20-25 people. It was great to see all the CR's that turned out to see a great game by the ducks and of course enjoyed spending some good quality time with conservatives all while loving America.

Look forward to seeing everyone this coming Tuesday night at our next meeting where Jim Feldkamp will be in attendance.

A Great Day

Today was a great day for the UO College Republicans. UOCR's signed up 30 new members all the while debating dirty liberals out on the mean streets of Eugene. We had commies, hippies and all around leftist whackos screaming at us and we dominated every single one of them without breaking a sweat.

Props go out to those who were attending the recruitment table for doing their job to ruin a dirty liberals day. I look forward to tomorrow and the rest of the week when CR's will be out in full force making our voice and presence heard throughout the campus.

When Liberals Speed

A driver for the Rev. Al Sharpton led Ellis County Sheriff's deputies on a nine-mile chase at speeds up to 110 mph before state troopers stopped the car, authorities said. The driver was rushing Sharpton to the airport after his visit anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan on Sunday at her camp outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford. The car carrying Sharpton and two other passengers was clocked doing 110 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 35 in Ellis County in North Texas, said Lt. Danny Williams. The car ignored deputies' attempts to stop it and continued speeding and weaving in and out of traffic before it was stopped, Williams said. Calls Monday to Sharpton's spokeswoman were not immediately returned. A spokesman for his attorney, Michael Hardy, referred inquiries to the spokeswoman. Deputies arrested Jarrett Barton Maupin, 43, of Phoenix. Maupin told the officers he was hurrying to get Sharpton to the airport. Deputies impounded the rented 2005 Lincoln. Williams said his officers offered Sharpton and the other, unidentified passengers a ride to a hotel across the highway, but they declined and walked there instead. Maupin posted a total of $1,000 in bonds on charges of evading arrest with a vehicle and reckless driving.

Rocks Thrown at Border Patrol Chopper

YUMA, Ariz.

Illegal immigrants threw rocks at a Border Patrol helicopter, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing when one of the rocks damaged the rotor, the agency said.
Neither the pilot nor the Border Patrol observer was injured.
The A-Star helicopter was two miles west of the U.S. Port of Entry in Andrade, Calif., on Tuesday when a group of immigrants began throwing rocks at the aircraft.
One baseball-sized rock gashed the rotor, forcing the pilot to land nearby, said Michael Gramley, spokesman for the Border Patrol sector based in Yuma, Ariz.
Gramley said he did not know how high the helicopter was hovering when it was struck, but he said it was being repaired and is expected back in service soon.
After the incident, 17 people were apprehended for illegally crossing the border, and two of them were being investigated for smuggling. Ten immigrants evaded capture.
The investigation into the rock-throwing was continuing.

For the love of everything that is holy, can we please get some military on the border? I will patrol myself with a 50cal mini gun mounted on my Jeep! Mr. Dean Scrutton you know I am within my rights to do so!
